Aaron C. Thierry
Aaron Thierry is an experienced wealth strategist who enjoys helping, educating, and supporting clients as they develop strategic plans for the future.
Aaron attended Michigan State University from 1996-2000 and was a student manager for the Michigan State Basketball team from 1996-1999. He worked under Tom Izzo while winning two Big Ten Championships and making a Final Four appearance. He graduated with a BA in Business in 2000 from Michigan State University.
Aaron currently lives in Clarkston with his wife, Lisa, and their three children. Their first son, Jack, was born in 2012, followed shortly by their daughter Josie in 2014. Two years later, they welcomed their third child, Maximus, into the family. As a family, they enjoy sports, hunting, biking, camping, and church. Aaron and Lisa love to attend concerts together. The family supports Road Warrior Corp, Salvation Army, and the Beth Marinez Fund-Spartan Fund. One of their passions is supporting the Adam Morgan Foundation for Autism. Adam is Aaron’s nephew, who has Autism.
Driven by Decades of Experience
Aaron started his career at a private financial firm and gained unparalleled experience throughout his 12 years with the firm. He worked within several different groups learning all facets of the business operations and compliance procedures. He was mentored by industry experts in the areas of tax planning, estate planning, debt strategies, investment planning, and protection strategies. This education and experience help Aaron understand the complexities of a business owner and all of the challenges they face.
He attended Northwood University from 2005-2007 and graduated with an MBA. It’s during that time that Aaron learned valuable insights from both professors and classmates, such as Terry Welch, CEO of Sinclair Oil, usually over a burger and a beer. Licenses and designations held include Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, Life Accident and Health, Property and Casualty and RICP® (Retirement Income Certified Professional from The American College).
Aaron Started working with Core Financial Group in the summer of 2011. Jamie and Aaron met the first day of school on the bus ride to kindergarten and have been best friends ever since. Aaron and Patrick became fast friends as Student Managers for the Michigan State Basketball team.
